Why I Do This Work

I am a trauma-informed therapist providing counselling and therapeutic support for women navigating separation, divorce, and single parenting.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. After experiencing my own separation and navigating the complexities of single parenting, I came to understand how overwhelming and disorienting this stage of life can be. Separation is rarely just about legal processes or parenting arrangements. It can also challenge your sense of identity, confidence, and ability to trust yourself.

I know what it feels like to balance parenting, difficult emotions, and the expectations of others while trying to heal. Many women I work with describe feeling caught between caring for everyone else and losing sight of themselves in the process.

My role is to provide a safe and compassionate space where women can begin reconnecting with themselves, rebuilding self-trust, and creating a future that feels authentic and aligned with who they are.

As both a therapist and someone with lived experience, I bring together clinical knowledge and genuine understanding. While every woman’s story is unique, you do not have to navigate this journey alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Separation and divorce can affect far more than a relationship. They can challenge your sense of identity, confidence, emotional safety, and trust in your own judgement.

I support women through these experiences by providing a space to understand what has happened, make sense of what they are experiencing, and begin creating a future that reflects what matters to them.

Relationships often become woven into how we understand ourselves. When a relationship ends, familiar roles and reference points can change, leaving you questioning who you are, what you want, and what comes next.

This uncertainty can affect your confidence and the way you see yourself. Therapy can help you reconnect with your sense of self and begin shaping the person and life you are becoming.

Leaving a relationship does not always mean its emotional impact ends. You may still be carrying fear, self-doubt, grief, anger, or patterns of responding that developed during the relationship.

Ongoing contact, co-parenting, or continued conflict can make this even more difficult. Therapy can help you process what you have experienced and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Yes. You do not need to have all the answers before beginning therapy.

Therapy can help you slow down, understand your experiences, and reconnect with your own needs, values, and perspective. The goal is not to tell you what decision to make, but to help you develop greater clarity about what is right for you.
