How the ON POINT Model supports meaningful change
Through my professional training and lived experience, I designed the ON POINT Model of Therapy to support women navigating separation, divorce, single parenting, and emotionally difficult relationships.
The model draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practice. Together, these approaches help us understand not only what you are experiencing now, but also how your relationships, experiences, beliefs, and story may have shaped the way you see yourself and respond to the world around you.
The ON POINT Model brings these perspectives together to help you:
- understand how past experiences and relationships may continue to influence your present
- recognise patterns, beliefs, and protective responses that may no longer be serving you
- develop greater awareness of your emotions, needs, values, and boundaries
- reconnect with your sense of identity and self-trust
- respond to difficult emotions and relationships with greater flexibility
- reshape the story you hold about yourself and your future
- make choices aligned with who you are and what matters most to you
At the heart of the model is the belief that healing is not about becoming someone different. It is about developing a clearer and more grounded relationship with yourself—so you can understand where you have been, recognise what you need now, and move towards the life and relationships you want to create.
The name ON POINT reflects this process: reconnecting with your identity, values, needs, and direction, so your choices begin to feel more aligned with the person you are becoming.
Therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. Together, we work towards meaningful change not by ignoring your past, but by understanding it, learning from it, and developing the confidence to move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and trust in yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can the ON POINT Model help you rebuild your life after separation or divorce?
Separation and divorce can disrupt the life you thought you were building and leave you questioning what comes next. The ON POINT Model helps you reconnect with yourself, clarify what matters to you now, and develop greater confidence in making choices about your future. Together, we work towards creating a life that reflects your values, needs, and who you are now.
How can the ON POINT Model help you support your children through separation or divorce?
Supporting your children through separation and divorce can be challenging when you are also managing your own grief, stress, and uncertainty. The ON POINT Model helps you develop greater awareness of your emotions and responses so you can feel more grounded and confident in how you support your children through change. The goal is not to become a perfect parent, but a more emotionally present and connected one.
How can the ON POINT Model help you develop healthier future relationships?
The ON POINT Model helps you understand how past experiences and relationship patterns may continue to influence the way you connect with others. By developing greater self-awareness, self-trust, and clarity about your needs, values, and boundaries, you can begin to make different choices in future relationships. The aim is to build relationships from greater self-awareness, mutuality, and alignment rather than fear, self-abandonment, or familiar patterns that no longer serve you.
