THE multifaceted Model of personality

Integrity and the Path to Wholeness

Christine Shalala Psychotherapy is an online Counselling & Psychotherapy practice that was established to help women who have experienced trauma, grief and loss recover and restore a sense wellbeing. Since I am ‘person-centered’ in my therapeutic approach to health and wellness, I have created a ‘multi-faceted’ model of personality that offers a range of principles and techniques to help provide opportunities to explore various relationship dynamics; and to assist, as well, with the development of a genuine personality – a personality that enjoys a full sense of self-worth across all areas of social roles and dynamics.

The model is formed in such a way as to help reposition women, within their family circles and restore their health and sense of well-being. Thus, it revolves around principles derived from forgiveness therapy and narrative therapy; and is established on the theoretical bases of self-care and self-compassion.

The model of personality that I offer is a personality characterized with “integrity”. Integrity implies making choices that complement who we are, thus, allowing for growth and development in all areas pertaining to living, reflect to us who we are. The self is integral (whole); fully worthy (deserving of good things) and valuable; however, we can only experience a sense of self-worth when we make choices and decisions that complement who we are.

In cases where the individual is experiencing lack in one or more areas in their life, there is a tendency to make choices not in line with “who they are” but to satisfy a need. For example, you might have a great career or an awesome partner but these are not your dream career or dream person.

As a result, you may be experiencing dissatisfaction in these areas of your life leading to an imbalance in energy levels throughout the day and to health issues affecting your mental state. The clinic offers a range of therapies and techniques that can help develop a full sense of self-worth characterised with self-appreciation, compassion, and the willingness to let go while looking forward to a new beginning.

And have you considered assessing the contextual factors within your family dynamic and their impact on your wellbeing and self-esteem; and how external factors have shaped your relationship with yourself and others?
